The Vander Ende-Onderdonk House will be open for evening tours by candlelight on the 2nd Saturday of each month- January through March! The January tour will be on Saturday, January 11th. On your guided tour you will learn about the history of the House & the families who lived there, explore three floors of exhibits, and enjoy complimentary refreshments. As well as a musical performance from local musicians. The January musician is Ken Voisin.

Time: 6:00-8:00 PM

Advance Reservation Required. The last ticket sales will be at 5 PM on the day of each tour, you must purchase tickets in advance. Adults are $20. Children under 12 & GRHS members are free.

Welcome to St. Nicholas Day!

Come on down to the historic Vander Ende-Onderdonk House on Sunday, December 8th, for our annual St. Nicholas Day celebration! The Museum will be decorated seasonally indoors for photos with St. Nicholas. We will have goody bags for children with a take home craft. Additionally, there will be refreshments available for purchase.

General Admission is $5 and FREE for children under 12. Please reserve General or Children’s tickets for all persons attending in your party. ALL ATTENDEES, BOTH ADULTS AND CHILDREN, MUST HAVE A TICKET.

There is limited capacity inside the Museum. Last entry is at 3:45pm.

Fun for the Whole Family

Come celebrate autumn at the historic Vander Ende-Onderdonk House in Ridgewood, Queens with fun for the whole family! Complimentary pumpkins for kids (with advanced reservation of free children's ticket), arts & crafts, games, and more!

Our annual Harvest Festival will be Sunday, October 13th, from 12-4 PM. This is an outdoor event, with a large covered tented area, please dress accordingly.

Tickets are $10 for General Admission and Free for Children under 12. Children must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. 

Reminder: You must add a free Children’s Ticket to your cart to reserve a pumpkin! Pumpkins are for children ONLY.

Fairy House Workshop

Decorate a fairy house with the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society. The workshop will guide you through the steps and provide all the materials to create your own fairy house. Dress up in fairy costumes is encouraged.

The event with be held on Saturday July 20th, from 1-3 PM. $15 per crafter, spectators free. Ages 3+

Spring on the Farm

Celebrate Spring with the whole family at the historic Vander Ende-Onderdonk House Museum in Ridgewood, Queens. We’ll be exploring nature, sustainability and history with a scavenger hunt, planting flowers (that you can take home!), crafts, games and goodies bags for children! You can also tour our gardens, browse educational stations in our environmental info fair and shop from local vendors! The first floor of the Museum will be open for self-guided tours. The event will be held primarily outdoors on the Museum’s grounds and under the tent, please see our website for directions. Members are free. Explore local history and architecture with the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society on SundayMarch 3rd! We’ll be taking you through Ridgewood’s North Historic District, which contains some of the best preserved early 20th century architecture in NYC!

Make your own hand-dipped taper candles the old fashioned way! Explore the grounds of the historic Vander Ende-Onderdonk House and learn about the history of lighting. The workshop will be outdoors, so please dress appropriately.
