Bushwick Open Studios 2011

June 3-5, 2011.  Onderdonk Sculpture Garden.  Stroll our 1.5 acres of gardens and open space. Candlelight Tours and Music, hightlighted by a Barbecue and music by Morgan O'Kane and Drean Kontrol on Sunday 12 -5 PM.  Donations accepted.

 

 

Strawberry Festival
Sunday, June 12, 2011 - 12 - 4 PM.  Music, games, food, vintage cars, tours of the Onderdonk House and the best strawberry shortcake in NYC!  Admission $3.00.

The Life and Times of a Civil War Soldier
Saturday, March 5, 2011 - 1-3 PM.  Guest lecturer and living history re-enactor Patrick Falci recreates the Civil War experience at the Onderdonk House.  Admission $3.00

Writing Family History
Saturday, March 26, 2011 - 2-4 PM.  Guest lecturer Anthony Lauriano will introduce you to the fascinating world of genealogy and family history.

The Greater Ridgewood Historical Society and Waste Management celebrated the 300th anniversary of this Queens cultural treasure and raised funds to replace the failing roof of New York City’s oldest Dutch Colonial stone house.

The Vander Ende-Onderdonk House is on the Federal & State Registers of Historic Places, as well as a NYC Landmark.

Royal Roots Revisited: Saluting the Dutch House of Orange-Nassau, was an exhibit comprised exquisite silver, ceramic and other works documenting the Dutch Royal Family's centuries-old connection with New York.
